Focal Point News

We are back to a five piece band. There were many reasons for this which will remain within the Focal Point family. The good news is, friendships are very much intact, which to the remaining members was a very important challenge we had to meet. That means allot to us, the family thing...

That said, we would like to thank our friends George Britt and Wayne Mears for their help in reuniting Focal Point way back in 2003 and helping us take our music in directions we did not know were even possible for us. Wayne brought some nice percussion chops to the band and George's lead guitar playing also led us to explore songs we probably would have never played. We thank both of them for their friendship, professionalism, and understanding with how we as a band wanted to move forward. We will definitely have them on stage with us from time to time and even on some tracks on our next CD.  Thanks for everything guys, you were great and we thank both of you very much for all you did for Focal Point!

By the way, we are also working on our second CD which should be released in 2011. This recording will be different from the debut "Reaching" CD with more of a harder edge with some boogie / blues thrown in for extra measure!
