Will Hamblen

Will learned to play music on his own, no lessons at all. Can pretty much play any instrument...drums and percussion, lead and rhythm and slide guitar, harmonica, mandolin, Dobro guitar and the Lap Steel guitar. Will also plays the drums and will do percussion from time to time with the band. "While I am a guitar player at heart, I learned how to drum from my days at Fork Union. When one marches to a drum beat for over six years, one knows about rhythm...trust me!"

Will is also one of the founding members in Focal Point and is Eddie's brother-in-law. Some of his favorite bands include the Beatles, Little Feat, Doobie Bothers, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, The Outlaws, Van Halen and many more...most of which you will hear when Focal Point plays live.

We have come a very long way as a band and I look forward to getting back to to just the five of us to see how far we have really come!

From Will: I would like to thank my wife Debbie, my kids Matt and Katie and my "brothers in the band", they are the best! I would also like to thank my older brothers Lappy and Allen for providing a young kid with great music to listen to in the 60's and 70's for that is where I formed my musical taste.

Also to all other people I have played music with throughout the years, especially Phil Douglas, Rich Anderson and Lyall Shank (Bridge) we really could sing almost as good as the Eagles!

I'd also like to thank Kip Williams - Richmond Music Center for all his help in the early days and  props to my buddy Dave Thomas for taking such good care of my guitars, he's the best!

Again, to the love of my life Debbie, my best friend and soul mate, I love you !!!
